How does microneedling with PRF work?
The treatment happens in two steps and one single appointment.
We start by drawing a small blood sample and spinning it in our in-office centrifuge. This separates platelet-rich fibrin, a concentrate of your own platelets and growth factors held in a natural fibrin scaffold. Then, we apply that PRF to the treatment area and pass a microneedling pen over the skin, opening fine channels that let it reach deeper layers than a topical product can.
Those channels do work of their own. Research on collagen induction therapy describes controlled micro-injury setting off growth-factor release and new collagen formation as the skin repairs itself. Adding PRF places a concentrated dose of your own growth factors into that healing window. Published studies on microneedling with injectable PRF report encouraging outcomes for facial rejuvenation and acne scarring, and the evidence base is still building.
